Hello and Welcome :)
New to our studio? I want to put you at ease and give you a few pointers to help you along your yoga journey with us. We move slowly. I repeat myself all of time, because you can only learn a few things at a time. Yoga is like any other pursuit, it will take time, practice and dedication to feel comfortable with what you are doing.
Here are some things to know before you come:
Wear comfy clothing - I would like to be able to see the shape of your knees if possible.
Don't eat a big meal before class.
Barefoot or grippy socks for your mat are recommended.
No perfume or cologne please as some people have sensitivities.
At the Studio:
Come to the back door.
Fill out 1 sheet paperwork and chat a bit
I have mats and props for you to borrow - you are welcome to bring your own.
Ask questions - I love questions.
Meditate, warm ups, main heat creating poses, stretch, relax.
Your body is your best teacher - listen.
Enjoy one hour to just be in your body and letting go of everything else.
We have a wonderful community of yogis waiting for you to join us. Please let me know if you have other questions that could be covered here.
Thanks! Shanti. Lisa :)
